On September 20-21, 2025, the Second Congress of the World Organization of Writers (WOW) convened in Moscow, bringing together literary luminaries from over 60 countries. The event, themed “Peace and Unity of Humanity,” showcased works in six languages, celebrating the power of literature to foster global harmony. Among the distinguished honorees was Filipino poet Eden Soriano Trinidad, who was awarded the prestigious World Organization of Writers Medal “For Outstanding Achievements in the Development of World Literature.”

The congress coincided with the First World Public Assembly, held under the motto “A New World of Conscious Unity.” This historic summit drew over 4,000 delegates from more than 150 countries, emphasizing humanitarian dialogue as a vital tool for peace, development, and unity in the modern era. WOW President Margarita Al highlighted the event’s significance, stating, “Authors from more than 60 countries gathered in Moscow. Their works were presented in six languages and were dedicated to the main theme of the congress—peace and unity of humanity.”
